Hey,
Life is pretty busy, so it's been a while since I sent out the last newsletter. Keeping up with everything I should or could do can sometimes feel overwhelming. But there are a couple of news and discoveries I want to share with you.
I'll speak at two conferences later this year: vuejs.de Conf and Vue.js London. At both of those conferences, I'll talk about testing. I also submitted two talks for VueConf Toronto CFP, so with a bit of luck, I might get the opportunity to speak there too. 🤞

iles static site generator
Lately, I discovered the fantastic iles static site generator. After a first look, it seems very promising! It comes with Partial Hydration, and the Island Architecture concept backed in. It's based on Vite, so it is super fast, and apart from Vue, it also works with other frameworks like Preact or Svelete (but I've not tested this yet).
Thanks to Partial Hydration, sites built with iles should have a minimal JavaScript footprint, and thus reaching perfect performance scores in Lighthouse should be relatively straightforward. But I have yet to see how well it is suited to generate sites with a couple hundred pages. But so far, I have very high hopes to make this my go-to site generator for building mostly static websites (and maybe even simple web apps).
Good tests book
I spend a considerable chunk of my free time on writing. My book on how to write good tests for Vue applications is nearing completion, but there is still a lot of work and a couple of thousand words about TDD to write.
Check out one of the most recent (free) chapters about setting up your Vue project to write good tests.
Vue Jobs
Last but not least, I'm partnering with Vue Jobs as a sponsor for my blog. So if you're looking for a new job, check out their site!
